Low-Cost Community Acupuncture Clinic Fees
Pathways Community Acupuncture Clinic provides high quality acupuncture treatment at affordable rates in a supportive community setting. We practice a form of acupuncture that uses mostly distal points in the hands, feet and head to treat problems anywhere in the body – meaning we may treat pain in your back by placing tiny needles in your hands. Research in the United States (as well as thousands of years of tradition in Asia) has shown that acupuncture is most effective when it is done frequently and regularly – once a week is usually the minimum required to make progress on any hind of health problem. The purpose of our sliding scale is to separate the issues of money and treatment; we want you to come in often enough to really get better and stay better! The table below contains suggested guidelines for what you might pay depending on your income; HOWEVER, we understand that everyone’s situation is different, and our primary goal is to make acupuncture available to you as often as you need it. No questions asked!

Private Individual Session Fees – These sessions are for people who need or want more one-on-one attention. Treatments are conducted in a private room and more discussion about treatment and dietary issues is possible along with Chinese Herbal medicine consultation, if needed, or deep tissue massage for musculoskeletal issues. These sessions cost $65.00 per hour treatment. Please call us at 231-360- 3718 or email us at pathwaystc@charter.net to schedule these types of sessions.
How To Pay For Your Acupuncture Treatment – Please have payment ready before your acupuncture session begins and hand it to the acupuncturist at the start of your session when she arrives to insert the needles. We provide payment envelopes in a basket in our entry room, which you may use if you like. We accept cash or check. We do not accept credit card payments. We allow for one missed appointment free of charge. After that, you will be charged a missed appointment fee of $15.00 for each missed appointment, which must be paid at the time of your next appointment.
Insurance
Because of the difficulties involved, I do not accept health insurance plans. I will, however, however, give you a receipt and a form with the appropriate codes that you can submit to your insurance company for your reimbursement. Medicaid and Medicare plans do not cover acupuncture treatments. Acupuncture qualifies as a Health Savings Account expense.
