New Patients
Note: You must have a physician’s referral.*

*  Need Physician's Referral In order to receive acupuncture treatment in the State of Michigan, each patient must have a referral for acupuncture treatment from a physician. You can simply call up your physician’s office and request that your doctor fax me a written referral for acupuncture to my office FAX # 231-668-7695. If possible, have your physician write a referral for “acupuncture treatments”. This type of open-ended referral allows you to receive acupuncture now or in the future, for any health condition, whether it be insomnia or low back pain.

Making A Diagnosis
After I have completed a thorough interview of your health, I check for various qualities in your pulse and your tongue that will help in making a diagnosis. Through the pulse I can check the health of each of your organs. By examining the tongue I check for signs of blood stagnation, excess heat or cold in the body, mucus buildup and so on. Once I have taken everything into consideration, I decide upon a treatment plan tailored to your needs using a combination of the services I provide.
